The Warrenton Warriors scored five runs in the seventh inning to close the door on the Clatskanie Tigers, 11-3, in varsity baseball Lewis and Clark League play on April 23.

Defeating Neah-kah-nie, 17-0, in five innings on April 21, the Clatskanie High School varsity softball team continued its winning streak.
Teauna Hughes hit two home runs and had eight runs batted in (RBIs).
Holly Burghardt was 4-4 with a double and Hunter Spendlove was 2-4 with a double.
Kierra Kallunki pitched a no hitter, striking out five batters.
Beating Portland Adventist Academy (PAA), 16-0, the Lady Tigers varsity softball team brought home a win on April 22 in non-league action.
Leading hitters included Shawntae Perez, 3-3 with a triple; Lacey Britton, 3-4 with three doubles and five runs batted in (RBIs); Teauna Hughes, 3-3 with a double; Katherine Jolma, 2-4, and Jeannie Byrum, 3-4.
Britton was the winning pitcher for the game, striking out seven and giving up three hits.
The Clatskanie High School varsity softball team played against the Vernonia Loggers on April 13 defeating them 8-4.
In the second inning, Shawntae Perez scored on Jeannie Byrum’s double. Kierra Kallunki scored next on a Perez double in the fourth.
Vernonia came back in the sixth inning, tieing the game 2-2.
Kallunki and Teauna Hughes scored on a Katherine Jolma hit in the eighth inning, before Vernonia tied it up again.
In the ninth inning, Lady Tigers Holly Burghardt and Kallunki scored on a Hughes home run. Kaytianne McArthur scored the final run.
Outstanding offensive players included Hughes, 2-4 with two home runs; Perez, 3-5, and Jolma, 2-5.
Kallunki was the winning pitcher with 11 strikeouts. She was 2-4 at bat with two home runs.

Kierra Kallunki was 1-4 at bat and got the win on the mound throwing five strike outs and while giving up only five hits.
Taking home 10-0 win, the Lady Columbians shut out Neah-kah-nie on April 23.
Heather Crape pitched a complete game and struck out seven.
Outstanding offensive players included Amanda Keen with two hits and a two-run home run; Cassie Hanks with a triple; Kaylea Knox with a double; Bailey Jackson and Kylie Crape each with a single.
The Rainier High School varsity softball team defeated Vernonia, 3-2, on April 15.
Starting pitcher Heather Crape struck out nine and Kylee Crape struck out five in two innings from the mound for the win.
Kaylea Knox was 3-4; Amanda Schwegler was 2-4 and Jordan Aberle was 2-5 in the batters box.
