NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed bids for the City of Clatskanie, SOUTH NEHALEM STREET PAVEMENT REPAIR, will be received by the City of Clatskanie until 3 p.m., Thursday, July 15.

Bids shall be addressed to Greg Hinkelman, city manager, 95 S. Nehalem St., P.O. Box 9, Clatskanie, OR 97016. At 3 p.m., bids will be opened and read aloud in the city hall council chambers, Clatskanie, Ore.

The project consists generally of road base repair of asphalt concrete pavement on S. Nehalem Street in the city of Clatskanie.

Project specifications are available for review at the City of Clatskanie’s administrative offices, located at 95 S. Nehalem St., Clatskanie, Ore. 97016, telephone number: 503 728-2622.

No bids shall be considered unless the bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701.035.

To be considered, bids must follow bidding instructions including, but not limited to, completion of bidding forms provided and accompanied by a 10 percent bid security in favor of the City of Clatskanie. Each bidder must indicate in the space provided on the bid proposal whether they are a resident or non-resident bidder, pursuant to ORS 270.029.

Project bids are not anticipated to exceed $50,000. If the bid amount does exceed $50,000, no bid shall be received or considered unless the bid contains a statement by the bidder that the applicable provisions of ORS 279.C800 to ORS 279C.870 and Oregon Prevailing Wage Rates will be complied with.

The City of Clatskanie reserves the right to reject any or all bids not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements, may reject for good cause any and all bids upon a finding of the agency it is in the public interest to do so, and may waive all informalities. No bidder may withdraw or modify his bid prior to the lapse of thirty (30) days after the bid opening. 6-24, 7-1, 7-8-c

The Clatskanie Planning Commission will meet for a regular meeting on Wednesday, June 30, at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers.
