Clatskanie Middle School Football Meeting Aug. 5

A meeting for all incoming Clatskanie 7th and 8th graders interested in playing middle school football for the 2010-11 season is set for Thursday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Clatskanie City Park.

Interested players are encouraged to come and meet the coaches and hear the “Tiger philosophy” on Clatskanie football.

Information  on physicals and forms will also be available.

Softball Try-outs

Try-outs for the Rainier Shock fast-pitch girls softball 12 and under class B team are set for August 17, 18 and 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Rainier High School junior varsity softball fields.

The team for next year will be a traveling tournament team.
