City of Clatskanie


The Clatskanie City Council will meet for a regular meeting on Wednesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers.

Agenda items may include, but are not limited to, the following: Approval of the minutes of the May 16th regular meeting, presentation by ODOT on a lighted crosswalk at BelAir and Highway 30, a presentation of a Health Reimbursement Arrangement/Voluntary Employees Beneficiary Association (HRA VEBA), a resolution ratifying the cemetery annexation, a resolution on establishing an Infrastructure Maintenance and Improvement Fund, a resolution approving an SCA grant for North Nehalem, a resolution establishing a VEBA plan, a resolution extending workers compensation coverage to volunteers and public officials on unpaid boards, a resolution authorizing a loan from the Timber Infrastructure Improvement Fund to the general fund, a resolution authorizing funds to be used in the financial management of the city, a resolution declaring the city’s election to receive state shared revenue, and a resolution adopting the FY 2012-2013 budget.

An executive session per ORS 192.660 (2)(i): To review and evaluate the employment-related performance of the chief executive officer of any public body, a public officer, employee or staff member who does not request an open hearing.





City of Clatskanie


All flowers, vases and decorations will be removed from the Clatskanie cemeteries on Monday, June 11, 2012.

Anything you wish to save must be removed before that date.                              6-7-c

The city council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers.

The purpose of the public hearing is for the city council to obtain citizen views and to respond to questions or comments regarding the use of state revenue sharing. Both written and oral comments will be considered during the meeting.

The meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities. If you have special needs please contact the city manager at 503 728-2622, by Tuesday, June 5.

City of Rainier


The City of Rainier, Columbia County and Hudson Garbage will hold a public hearing on curb-side recycling Monday, June 4, at 6 p.m. at 106 West B St., Rainier.


Rainier City Council


The Rainier City Council will meet Monday, June 4, 7 p.m. at 106 West B St., Rainier.

Agenda items include: Approve May 21st regular meeting minutes, View Street update, C Street slippage update and Pocket Park update.





Rainier Economic Development Council (REDCO)


A public meeting of the budget committee of the Rainier Economic Develoment Council, Columbia County, state of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013, will be held at Rainier City Hall, 106 West B Street, Rainier, Ore.

The meeting will take place on Monday, June 4, at 5:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget.

A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after Monday, June 4, 2012, at 106 West B Street, Rainier from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the budget committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the budget committee.
