Clatskanie Library District

SPECIAL MEETING

The Clatskanie Library District Board of Directors will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the library located at 11 Lillich St. This special meeting is to adopt the 2013-2014 budget, make appropriations, and to impose and categorize the tax.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

In the Matter of the Rate Adjustments for Curbside Collection Services for Franchised Haulers in Rural Columbia County.

1. The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at or after 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Room 308, at the Columbia County Courthouse, 230 Strand Street, St. Helens, Oregon.

2. The purpose of this hearing is to consider proposed rate adjustments for curbside garbage and recycling services by Franchised haulers for residents and businesses in rural Columbia County, effective August 1, 2013. Affected customers are serviced by Waste Management in rural Scappoose area and rural Vernonia area; Waste Connections dba Hudson Garbage Service in rural St. Helens and rural Rainier; and Clatskanie Sanitary Service in rural Clatskanie. These rural areas include customers outside of city limits. The proposed rate adjustments also effect drop box services in the aforementioned areas.

3. This is a public hearing. Interested parties may appear and be heard. Columbia County does not discriminate on the basis of disability and will provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with the County’s ADA Policy. To request accommodations or to review the County’s ADA Policy, please contact the Board of Commissioners’ Office at 503 397-4322.

4. The hearing will be held according to the procedures established in the Columbia County Solid Waste Ordinance.

Members of West Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc. of Intent to Forfeit 

Unclaimed Capital Credit Allocations.

West Oregon is a not-for-profit electric cooperative association and allocates capital credits to its member-patrons on an annual basis. When allocated capital credits are not required for cooperative operations, the board of directors, by resolution, may authorize allocation retirements for any given year. The following notice concerns persons or entities who were member/patrons of West Oregon Electric Cooperative between the years 1944-1969. If your name, or the name of the entity owned by you, is found on the published list, West Oregon’s records indicate there is an unclaimed capital credit distribution for your account. Such amount has remained unclaimed for at least four (4) years after the date authorized for payment or retirement and as such may be forfeited to West Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc., if it remains unclaimed six (6) months after the date of publication of this notice.

If you, or your associated entity, are found on the published list, you may claim your capital credit retirement by contacting West Oregon Electric Cooperative at 503 429-3021. The cooperative maintains a list of unclaimed accounts on its website www.westoregon.org, or by stopping by the cooperative’s headquarters located at 652 Rose Avenue, Vernonia, Ore., during business hours 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

To repeat, any capital credit account published on the official list that remains unclaimed six (6) months from the date of publication of this notice shall revert to West Oregon Electric Cooperative.
